Read book Cuckoo’s Egg (any edition) by Cliff Stoll (pdf can be found free online), and write a 6 to 7 pages single spaced paper on the intrusion detection and incident response techniques used in the book. Clearly describe the techniques and provide an analysis of how the techniques led to the capture of the hacker; also talk about those techniques that did not worked.
You can use any web-reference that supports what you are talking about just cite it properly.
Format can be similar to MLA using Times New Roman 12, but paper must be single spaced.
