There is no shortage of discussion in the press regarding corporate scandals and misbehaviour of individuals in position of trust. You are required to work with your assignment partner to analyse, debate and make your stand on the topic below using appropriate examples.

Part 2 (1,500 words; 10 marks):

There have been numerous corporate fraud cases in the past decades, most of which caused the companies affected to subsequently experience financial difficulties and embarrassment. You are required to research on two different fraud cases which took place in the recent 5 years and discuss the fraud types, how they were exposed and provide your views on how they could have been prevented. (750 words for each case)                                                                        

Three (3) marks will be awarded for overall grammar and expression.

Three (3) marks will be awarded based on teamwork evaluation (use the template provided on page 4 of this document).

(14 + 10 + 3 + 3 = 30 marks)

Submission Instructions

·      Provide a table of contents (excluded in word count) and ensure all questions are clearly labelled.

·      Ensure you have successfully enrolled in the same group with your assignment partner on Cloud site and submit one assignment per group into ‘MAA763 assignment 2 – group’ dropbox and each student is to complete and submit a peer ‘teamwork evaluation form’ into ‘MAA763 assignment 2 – teamwork evaluation form’ dropbox. Use the peer teamwork evaluation template provided at the end of this document.

·      Harvard style of referencing to be employed (reference list is excluded in word count).

·      Written in font size 12 for body writing; headings and block quotes may have different sizes.
